By using Before I Die at beforeidie.site or our Memories Android app (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Before I Die provides tools to write and share anonymous wishes, generate shareable cards, browse inspiration content, and use Memories for signed-in photo/social features. Features may change, pause, or end at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to use online services under the laws of your country. Memories requires a Google account; you must meet Google’s age requirements and any local age of digital consent.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your Memories account. Keep your Google account secure. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms or our policies were violated.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit (wishes, posts, stories, comments, profile text/photos). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and adapt that content as needed to operate and promote the Service (for example showing posts in feeds or previews).
You confirm you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate others’ rights or the law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or violently graphic content
- Spam, scam, impersonate others, or attempt to hack or disrupt the Service
- Upload malware or abuse automated access in ways that harm the Service
- Collect other users’ personal data without permission
- Use the Service for commercial spam or unauthorized advertising
We may remove content or restrict accounts that appear to break these rules.
6. Anonymous wishes
Wish submissions are intended to feel anonymous, but anonymity is not guaranteed if you include identifying details yourself, or if required by law. Treat the public wish wall as public.
7. Memories social features
Posts, stories, profiles, likes, comments, and follows are part of a social experience. Other users may see content you share. Story views may be visible to the story owner. Push notifications may be used when enabled.
8. Third-party services
The Service uses Google services (including Firebase Auth, Firestore, Analytics, and advertising). Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Before I Die name, branding, and site design are ours or our licensors’. You may not copy the Service or brand for competing products without permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently stored content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Before I Die and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we revise this page.
